Today my dog Poppy died. She was snake bit. No words can describe the pain I am feeling and how much I miss her. We did all we could to save her. She was 3 yrs old.
I wanted to share some things about this the wonderful one of a kind dog. I hope you enjoy.
Poppy always loved red lasers even as a puppy. One day dad had got the laser out and she chase d it and chased it. He even made her twirl. And when he flashed it under the book shelf she just stared there waiting for it to come back.
One of her favorite things to do was when mom was taking a nap. When mom took naps I usually sat on the floor watching a movie. She would always come cuddle up beside me. But whenever I laid down she always laid on my stomach or back. We loved doing that together.
She loved following me everywhere. One day we went to the creek and played together and while she was chasing me she accidentally fell in the water. It was the funniest thing.
Poppy always loved being outside. She loved running in the grass and especially chasing the grasshoppers.
When we bought Koa our chihuahua they instantly became friends! they were the best of buddies venturing out together.
She was a mama of 4 litters.
One of the most interesting things about her is her smile. Yes Poppy was the only dog who could actually smile. Here are some pictures of her. She is the red one
She was a wonderful dog.

That is so sad, she looks like she was a very happy doggy. You will be happy after a while, even though you may feel like you won’t for a long time. I hope that day comes soon for you.

Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry for your loss, Sawyer. My family has also lost many pets and the pain is terrible. I hope you heal, and know that Poppy was so lucky to have a friend like you ๐

I’m sorry for your loss, Sawyer; Poppy sounds like a wonderful and sweet dog. I lost my own kitty to a hit-and-run in our area, and it hurt a lot to know she was gone.
Poppy looks so happy in those photos, though. She looks well-loved and couldn’t have asked for a better family to take care of her ๐
*sends you super big hug*

Oh no! ๐ฆ I’m so sorry! At least she’s not being hurt by the snake bite anymore. She seemed wonderful. I’m so sorry, and I hope you’ll feel better (mentally, and physically, if you’re not doing well).
