Assignment: Your writing assignment for today is to write a 3-page essay.

Topic: Apple pie has long been considered the most American dessert. Why do you think this is? Do you think this is still accurate? What would you choose as the most American dessert?

Why do you think this is?

I truly have no clue why,  the more I think about it the more I realize how famous it is but as to why I don’t know. Maybe its because that is the pie that was made most by people back then when the grew orchards and sold pies. But since I didn’t have much to say on this I decided to look it up.

    Apple pie was used a lot by the pilgrims due to their great storing abilities and they always had an over abundance of apples so they decided to make apple pies. Plus it was really simple to make.

     Later on in the new world they were used a bunch because apples were the cheapest to buy and the pies were so easy to make.

Do you think this is still accurate?

Yes I do! Everyone especially around the holidays is always baking apple pie and finding new ways to do it.

What would you choose as the most American dessert?

Well I would probably choose caramel but im not too sure, maybe cotton candy?
