Working on a ranch is something you really have to get used to, it’s not all fun in games. When people see my life and what I do they most commonly mistaken it for a beautiful paradise. But looks are deceiving…..
They see cute animals and green pastures and think what a wonderful life it must be, but think to yourself, Did that pasture get so clear and green by itself? Did those cute animals just appear? Did the garden and coop and shed just pop up? Everything in life involves work. Just like this verse I read in proverbs:
The one who is lazy becomes poor, but the one who works diligently becomes wealthy. the one who gathers crops in the summer is a wise son but the one who sleeps during harvest is a shameful son. Proverbs 10:4-6
Work is something we all have to get used to, it is something that is a part of life whether we like it or not. We have to work to provide for ourselves or our family, we have to work to be able to live. We have to understand that the fundamental reason we are all alive today is because of someone else’s work or our own.
This ranch and our home was built on working, every single thing we have involved doing something. You may have heard someone say yeah I made this and it involved blood, sweat, and tears. Well I’m here to tell you that is very true. All three of those thing are tied into my everyday life, some more than others.
Now you might see this and think to yourself you needn’t worry about all this working, you don’t live on a Ranch and the only reason I have so much work is because of that. Well in some cases that’s true. But think, if you lived in the city, you would have to have a way to live in your apartment or house. Therefore you need money to do that and how do you make money? Yep that’s right WORK. Get up early in the morning go to your job, work, and come back home. Only to do it all over again.
How do you think you become president or CEO? You start at the bottom and WORK yourself to the top. And even at that point you still have something you need to do. Even the people who make money off of Youtube or selling items online, you have to build up bunches of views and subscribers to start making money. And when selling stuff you have to work on what you’re selling and package it to send away. So you see everything you do to make money must involve work.
The point of this is not to discourage you about life and work but actually to do the quite opposite. To encourage you, to build yourself up now to the challenges you face ahead! And to enjoy what you are doing now, to prepare yourself for the life that is ahead of you!
There is so much more in store for you than just sitting around doing nothing, find something to do and accomplish it in the best way you can! Make yourself someone people can rely on to do a job or task right and from there you will soar.
You want to build yourself a good foundation for yourself so someone can say wow look what she’s done with her life and she has worked so hard at her past jobs, I must hire her to come work for me. Or look what he has done, I think I’m going to promote him. Do you really think somebody looks at a lazy person and says yep! That’s the one, he’ll do a great job, he’s done nothing his whole life so maybe he’ll be good at testing out our furniture. Nobody would hire someone lazy, nobody would hire someone with a bad record.
So in conclusion, no matter how hard it seems sometimes and you just feel like quitting. It will always work out for the better. You will always get something out of working even if its a pat on the back. Anything is a start so don’t be discouraged, I’m right there with you. I been through a lot of trials before and the best advice I can give is do not give up on yourself, Stay confidant and know you are capable of doing (anything).
